LOVE THAT DOG by Sharon Creech

This book is about a boy who is sad about his dog (who died). He writes poetry about the dog, inspired by poet Walter Dean Myers.

My favorite part was when Walter Dean Myers comes to visit the school.

I think both boys and girls ages 9-12 will enjoy this book.
