1,000 BOOK DRIVE

In late October, we read "Miss Malarkey Leaves No Reader Behind" (Judy Finchley). In it, if the students read 1,000 books the principal vows to dye his hair purple and sleep on the school roof. Of course, they do and he does! Our students started asking our principal if he would do the same, so we altered the challenge a bit...to raise 1,000 books for a literacy charity donation. If our goal was met, our principal promised to dance like a ballerina in front of the entire school!!!
Did we make it??? Did Mr. Ackerman pirouette and arabesque???
