Letters From Rifka by Karen Hesse

            Letters from Rifka is about a girl named Rifka, who wants to come to America from Berdichev, Ukraine. She and her family seek a new life in America. But Rifka can't simply go because she has a hair disease called ringworm. Will Rifka ever get to America?
          My favorite part  was when Rifka was in Belgium. When Sister Katrina wasn't attending her head, Rifka would take walks around the square.
        I would recommend this book for both boys and girls ages 8-12. *****
