Ella was a child of William and Temple and every form of jazz starting from Scat all the way to Be-bop.

Ella lived in Yonkers,New York with her mom but her mom and dad separated after Ella's birth.

Ella studied   dancing  but shortly after her mom died about 2 years later chick Webb turned that study into singing.

Ella overcame her childhood starting from the death of her original parents all the way to her going to dreadful reform school.

Ella was challenged by the pain of losing a limb her legs got amputated because of the sickness of diabetes.
