Ella (Jane) Fitzgerald by Niles

Ella was born in Newport News, Virginia
Ella was a child of William, and Temple (Tempie) Fitzgerald
Ella lived in Newport News, Virginia; and Yonkers, New York
Ella studied barely anything in school thanks to dropping out
But later studied and performed the music of many famous composers
Ella overcame many deaths of important people in her life like her mother
Ella worked as a messenger for the owners of illegal gambling joints and got caught by the police
Ella was challenged by segregation to the blacks so she could not perform at night clubs that were only white
Ella's personally could be described as strong, she was strong when all of her family died
Ella was always thriving for attention,
Never shy of showing of at what she is good at
Ella was best known for her scat singing
Even though trumpeter Louise Armstrong was said to have the original scat singing
It was Ella who made it known around the world
Ella could not have done it without Marilyn Monroe who helped her sing at the Mocambo
Ella was now known as the undying flame that lights our music heritage and forever will.
