THE TROUBLE WITH CHICKENS by Doreen Cronin

Plot: A dog named J.J. Met a chicken named Moosh. Behind Moosh there were 2 chicks named Dirt and Sugar. There were two other chicks named Poppy and Sweetie but they went missing. It was J.J.'s job to find out where they went.

Conflict: J.J. Was in conflict with Vince because Vince stole the Poppy and Sweetie and he had to find a way to get them back.

Character change: The conflict for J.J. Is that it that Poppy and Sweetie go missing and J.J. Has to look in his enemy's house to see if the chicks are there.

Relate: The main character changed through the book because at the beginning of the book he didn't really care about the chickens because in the beginning on page 5 it said " her name was Millicent. I called her Moosh, just because it was easier to say and it seemed to annoy her." At the end of the book His feelings  definitely changed because at the end he wanted to help the chickens. In the book on page 63 it says "We practiced RHBWR for an hour." His feelings definitely changed.

THE PLOT CHICKENS By Mary Jane and Herm Auch

Henrietta is a chicken who is inspired to write a book. She heads to the library to research how to write the most magnificent story. With the help of her friends  will she reach her dreams to become author....or will it be a total fail?

My favorite part was when the chickens kept on finishing each others sentences.

I would recommend  this book to boys and girls 5-9
