NICHOLAS: A New Hampshire TALE by Peter Aremstad

Nicholas, a brown mouse who lives in an unused barn, is searching for his cousin Francis who has his family journal that is very important to Nicholas. The journal had his family's past and the old stories that his family used to tell. The search for his cousin started when his home flooded. His family tried to save the journal, but it got ruined in the flood. Nicholas volunteered to get a copy of the journal from his uncle. Then, unexpectedly Francis took the journal away. On the way, Francis left clues that will help find him and the journal.

On his search Nicholas made friends with a chipmunk named Edward. He is helping Nicholas figure out the clues and with the search of his cousin. The two friends also met some animals along the way. One of them was a goat named Coconut, who warned them of an upcoming snow storm. Can Nicholas and Edward  find Francis and the journal before the snowstorm breaks out? Read the book to find out!

My favorite part of the book was when Edward saw Francis running away with the journal; Edward grabbed the journal from Francis and gave it to Nicholas.

For boys and girls all ages.

RATING:*****+

BABYMOUSE QUEEN OF THE WORLD by Jennifer L. Holm and Matthew Holm

Babymouse wants to be popular in school but Felcia Furrypaw is already popular. She wants to get invited to her sleepover. Will she ever get invited? This is the first book in the series.

My favorite part is where Babymouse dumped something on Felcia who is mean to her. That was also funny to me.

I would recommend this book to girls ages about 7-12

BABYMOUSE PUPPY LOVE by Jennifer L. Holm and Matthew Holm

This book is about a mouse named Babymouse. Babymouse really wants a puppy. And one day, a lost pitiful puppy comes up to her. She feeds it, washes it, and picks up it's waste, yuck! Through all the days of her puppy Buddy chewing her stuff up. Until one day....
My favorite part was when Babymouse accidentally left all of her pets' cages open and they jumped out and had a party under the bed.
I would not recommend this book. I think girls 4-5 years old would enjoy this book.

BEN AND ME by Robert Lawson

This is book about a mouse and Ben Franklin. They are really good friends. They love to make extraordinary inventions together. One of their favorite inventions they enjoy making together is the lightning rod. "It collects lightning and makes electricity" says Ben franklin. The mouse and Ben make extraordinary inventions and sometimes make mistakes. But thats okay everybody makes mistakes and learn from their mistakes.

A very funny part in the story is when Ben took a swim in the pond he came out with seaweed on his head and took a run after and got all covered in thorns. That really forced a giggle out of me.

I would not recommend this book because it is not the kind I see kids reading. If you want to read this book  I would recommend this book to ages 8 through 10 years old.

From a rating of 1 to 5 stars I would give it a **.
