MY DADIMA WEARS A SARI BY KASHMIRA SHETH
This book is about Rupa's Dadima (grandma) that wears saris that have different uses. Dadima also has different memories for different saris. Rupa asks Dadima why she only wears saris and they came up with multiple uses for this Indian outfit. Neha , Rupa's sister , joins them, and Dadima teaches them about her saris.
The worst part of the was that there was no plot problem.
I would not recommend this book.

Jahanara, Princess of Princesses by Kathryn Lasky
This book is about Jahanara, a princess, who’s family is imprisoned by her power-hungry aunt, Nur Mahal. Her family gets freedom, and this book tells how her life is then.
My favorite part was when Jahanara turned 16 years old. She gets a new elephant, a gift from her father for her 16th birthday. It is her 1st birthday after freedom.
I think girls age 10-12 will enjoy reading this book.
