The Great Tree of Avalon by T A Barron

This book is about Tamwyn, who is searching for his lost brother. He encounters some odd friends in his quest. It is a book that comes after the Merlin epics. If you like those books, I recommend this one. I do not have a favorite part of the book, although the characters make very funny jokes. I have read the book over 13 times! I think children who are age 9-12 will enjoy this book. I think both boys and girls will prefer this book. RATING: ***** (Remember, I read it 13 times!) Wordcritic9

The Mirrors of Merlin by T. A. Barron

The book is about a young man named Merlin with some extraordinary wizarding powers. Can he somehow save his life when a bloodnoose threatens to rip his heart in two? Or will he die in unyielding agony in which death would be a miracle? Read on to find out. My favorite part was when Merlin ran into his older self, who was actually living backwards.
