GOOSEBUMPS: THE GIRL WHO CRIED MONSTER BY R.L Stine
Twelve year old Lucy Dark shouldn't be afraid of a monster. Should she?As her summer reading progresses she realizes her "mentor"(Mr. Mortman) is a little odd. Lucy set's off to find out what's going on. To bad Lucy has told to many monster stories to the point when nobody believes her when she is actually telling the truth.
I think the grossest part of this book was when Mr. Mortman ate a turtle!
I would recommend this book for both boys and girls ages 8-10

WELCOME TO DEAD HOUSE by R.L Stine
Amanda and Josh move to a old house on a shady street and Amanda thinks their new house is haunted but everyone else thinks she's just homesick. When they finally find some friends, they have a big secret, and so does the whole town. Will they figure it out? And when they do, will it just kill them?
The grossest/scariest part was with Amanda, Josh their friend, Ray. Ray is with them in a graveyard and it seems like he's hiding something, and when Josh shines the flashlight on him, he is affected. Is Ray okay?
I would recommend this book for both boys and girls from ages 8-11.
