The Journal of Douglas Allen Deeds by W. R. Philbrick
This book is about aboy that goes from Missouri to California and overcomes a lot of trouble.
My favorite part is when they eat each other out of starvation and of madness to survive.
I think boys age 13-16 will enjoy reading this book.
