Fly Away Home by Patricia Hermes

Amy Aldens tragedy of losing her mom makes her hide in her shell. Now living with her divorced dad in her new Canadian home. She finds baby geese when she was wandering one day. She raises them in her home. But now its migration time, and she must teach them how to “Fly Away Home”. I liked it when her dad and her dad's girlfriend come home and she is sleeping with the baby geese. I think both boys and girls ages 6-20 will enjoy this book. RATING: **** Spaz Sister 385

The Canada Geese Quilt by Natalie Kinsey Warnock

This book is about a girl making a quilt with her grandma. My favorite part was the end. It was sad but, fun. I think both boys and girls ages 10 and up will enjoy this book. RATING: **** by brandi

This book is about a ten-year-old girl named Ariel who has a new sibling on the way. Together, her grandma and her secretly make a quilt. But Grandma is sick! Ariel is left to finish the quilt alone. I loved the description and feeling in the text. I think boys and girls 8-12 years old will enjoy this book. RATING: **** by Funky Fire
