HI ALL!
THIS SUMMER MIGHT SEEM A BIT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PAST SUMMERS, BUT I HOPE THAT YOU ARE ENJOYING THE BREAK AND KEEPING COOL!

  • Just a reminder to read your book selected for your UPCOMING grade in the fall:

SUMMER READING GRADES 3, 4 & 5

SUMMER READING FOR LANE 2017

TOPIC: ANIMALS!


CAN BE FICTION OR NONFICTION, COMICS, 
WILD ANIMALS, PETS, ZOOS, ANIMAL SHELTERS, RESCUES, ETC. 
AS LONG AS IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH ANIMALS


GOALS: 

STUDENT GOAL
Read for at least 10 minutes a day x 5 days a week = 50 minutes per week
10 weeks of summer: 10 weeks x 50 minutes per week = 500 minutes!
Track your minutes with the paper calendars &
Bring your TOTAL MINUTES to school in September
or
TRACK ONLINE (see below)

SCHOOL GOAL: 
500 minutes per student x 600 students = 300,000 minutes
If we reach our goal as a school, we will have a special presentation in September!
