EDGAR ALLAN'S INVESTIGATION NOTEBOOK by Mary Amato

This story is about a boy names Edgar and Patrick and a crime happens at their school. Lots of stuff get stolen like goldfish, iris, fan, tea. Edgar  and Patrick are enemies. They have a race to see who will find out who commit the crime first.Their are many witness to the crime like Mr.Crew, Kip, Taz, Destiny, and Mia. Mr.Crew acts suspicious about poetry; he says poetry is a gift. They're going to get a lot of clues to find out who did it.Who will find it first ???

Edgar is the main character. Edgar struggles with Patrick  because always Patrick beats him to everything in Edgar always get embarrassed and always fail and everyone laughs at him.

The conflict for the main character is Edgar just wants to get to the crime before Patrick. So he does not get laughed at and embarrassed again like he always does. Edgar did not have many friends in the begging of the story then at the end of the story Edgar had many friends in his class.

Edgar changed  at the course of the book by .At the beginning of the story Edgar was enemies with Patrick at the end of the book when Edgar got to the crime Edgar felt bad for him so he went over to Patrick and said do you want to come to the willow tree with us.

I related to this chapter because sometimes people in the game all around the world people beat me  and I fell embarrassed because I failed and then I go up to the person who beat me and a say good game.

The Battlefield Ghost by Magery Culyer

This book is about a brother and sister moving into a new house that is known to be haunted. John the brother and Lisa the sister both are 10 years old and have heard of this ghost and think its all a bunch of bologna. But they find out this silly ghost is more than they can handle. My favorite part of this book is when the ghost wants to get his horse back. So on the night of January 3, he appears and tells Josh and Lisa to get his horse back because he can’t leave the home (some kind of ghost mumbo jumbo) so John and Lisa go to the battlefield where his horse was last and they see the entire reenactment of the entire battle and it the author makes it really interesting so this my favorite part of the book. I think boys who are age 10+ will enjoy this book. RATING: **** dipsydoodle

Million Dollar Strike, by Dan Gutman

This book is about two boys named Squishy, and Ouchie and a guy that owns a bowling alley and his name is Gazebo Zamboni. Mr. Z (Zamboni) does not want Bowl-A-Rama to close down, Squishy and Ouchie think that Mr. is a murderer, but he is really nice to them after awhile. Squishy wrote an essay about it how he does not want the bowling alley to close down, then his essay is put in an article, and saves Bowl-A-Rama. Then Ouchie keeps saying he is awful at bowling and one day he gets a strike worth $1,00,000! My favorite part of the book was when Ouchie got a strike worth $1,000,000, and he was SUPER happy, and he didn’t know what to say and he almost fainted, and Mr . Zamboni told him how he could get a strike and he bet him $1,000,000 that he would miss and he got the strike. I think children who are 8-12 years old will enjoy this book I think both boys abd girls would enjoy this book RATING: ***** Doggyluva
