WHEN MINDY SAVED HANUKKAH by Eric A. Kimmel

This is a story about Mindy. She is in the Klein family. They live in a crack under a wall (they are tiny) in a synagogue. It's almost Hanukkah and they still don't have candles! They've heard about the cat in the building. When Mindy goes to get the candles, will the cat attack? Find out when you read: "When Mindy saved Hanukkah"!

The funniest part was when Zaydie showed up in a maccabee suit!

I would recommend this book to girls ages 3 to 7.

My favorite part of the book was when  Leibush found Shnook in the synagogue and thought he was someone else.

I would recommend this book to both boys and girls ages 7 and 8

The Book Thief

"The Book Thief", by Zusak...For adults...a GREAT read. The book itself in quasi-diary format, set in Nazi Germany...with Death's eerie voice as the narrator lends an alternative style of dismal overtones that help convey the situation as it was during that time period. I haven't finished yet...can't wait to get home! See the Barnes & Noble website for more details: http://www.bn.com/
