Ella was born in Newport News Virginia 

Ella was a child of Tempie and William. Her parents got divorced right after she was born.

Ella lived in Yonkers New York with her mom, Reform school, and the streets.

Ella studied at grade school and reform school.Then she ran away .

Ella overcame living on the streets and having to make money by singing and dancing.

Ella worked as a scat,beep-bop,and jazz singer.

Ella was challenged by discrimination and not being able to sing at  night clubs.
Ella's personality could be described as Caring, sympathetic, and joyful !
Ella was always spunky and happy.
Never boring,or sad.
Ella was best known for her famous scat singing.
Ella was inspiring, happy, and upbeat!
