Ella

Was inspirational to all music fans, courageous for standing up to racial segregation, talented, and moving

Ella was the daughter of William; who abandoned her and her mother and Temple; her loving mother

Ella best loved scat singing and dreamt of becoming a dancer

Ella felt that racial segregation was wrong, mournful for the loss of Chick Webb, and happy for being accepted by her audience

Ella feared not being able to perform anymore and of losing her voice

Ella lacked money so much in her early days that she lived in the streets of Yonkers, NY

Ella made charities to help the poor needy children

Ella was born in Newport News, VA and moved to Yonkers, NY where she started her career

Ella was a succesful singing sensation
