THE LITTLES GIVE A PARTY By John Peterson



This book is another adventure for the Littles!  It's a story when the Littles plan a surprise party for Granny Little on the Fourth of July.  This is gonna be a Fourth of July to remember!!!!

My favorite part of this book was when Uncle Pete did a belly-whopper into the water of their roof shingles.

I would recommend this book to both boys and girls who are ages 6-12.

WITCH TWINS Adele Griffen



       This book is about two identical twins Luna and Claire that have special witch powers. There trying to stop there dad from getting married to a women named fluffy. She is from Texas. Will there dad move to Texas if they get married. Can the witch twins stop there mirage and make there dad not like fluffy any more?

      The funniest part in this book probably was when Claire went to pick out a dress Claire found the ugliest dress she could find in the store and and fluffy the bride look liked she just got stung by a bee. Her face was swollen it was very funny

I think girls from 9-11 will enjoy this book.

It's about a boy named Tim Swanson who loves magic tricks. Someday he wants to be a real magician just like his all time favorite hero Amaz-O. But then Tim goes to Amaz-O's show and some very bad and disappointing things Tim Swanson finds out about Amaz-O's magic tricks and his show.

The worst part is when you see one of  the most scariest bunny ever, that gives you nightmares!

I would recommend this book for both boys and girls who are 9-13 years old.

          This book is about a boy named Zack and his friend Eleanor.They go back in time to stop the Great White Butt. If they  fail Earth will be destroyed by buttageddon.
The funniest part was when Great White Butt finds out Robobutt is a robot.

I would recommend this book to boys who are ages 7-9

HORTON HEARS A WHO! By Dr.Seuss

Summary of the book: Horton heard a voice from a speck of dust.  He promised the voice that he would take care of it and carefully put the speck on a clover.  But then, some monkeys climbed up his back and took the clover and gave it to a falcon.  The falcon flew far away and dropped it on a field of clovers.  Horton found it but then a kangoroo came with an army of monkeys.  They were going to boil the clover in boiling hot stew.  Can Horton save his friends Whos?

My favorite part of the book was when: The falcon dropped the clover into a clover field.              

I would recommend this book for both boys and girls who are ages 3-12

This story is about a kid named Warren he's trying out his grandpas invention .Next thing thing he knows is he's at Mount Saint Helens on May/18/1980 when it had one of the biggest eruptions ever and it's about to erupt! How will warren get out of this pickle.

The scariest part of the book was when Mount Saint Helens started to erupt!

I would recommend this book to boys ages 7-16

WEREWOLVES DON'T GO TO SUMMER CAMP by Debbie Dadey & Marcia Thorton Jones

This book is about 2 boys and 2 girls at a camp called Camp Lone Wolf, and there councelor is acting like a dog, WOLF, WEREWOLF.

My favorite part of the book was on... a certain page.(last page)and he howled as they were leaving the camp.

I would recommend this book to boys who are age 7 -13

A FAIRY CALLED HILARY by Linda Leopold Strauss

This story is about a fairy called Hilary. One day she appeared in a family's car, and at first none of them believed in fairies until Hilary appears and then Hilary disappears. The story takes place in a lot of different places they eventually bring Hilary back to there house when they realize that Hilary didn't bring any of her things. Hilary doesn't have a wand but she just makes her clothes and pajamas appear.

I thought the funniest part was at the beginning when Hilary appeared into the car and they were all shocked but the dad started to get very angry.

I would recommend this book to girls from the ages 6-10

A TO Z MYSTERIES: THE GOOSE'S GOLD by Ron Roy

The gooses gold is about 3 kids, Josh, Mary rose, and Dink who save many people from spending thousands of dollars. The three kids sneak aboard a ship that had a hole in it because of two bad guys named Spike and Chip. Also the story takes place in Florida during Christmas and ends at new years eve.

My favorite part was when the three kids barely escape a sinking boat.

I would recommend this book to boys and girls 4 - 6.

Dink, Josh, Ruth Rose and Tyrone Built a T-rex and go around schools showing it off. They made a lot of money but it got stolen. They think their friend stole but they are not sure. Will they get the money back?

The worst part of the book is when they lose the money

GO,DOG.GO! BY P.D. EASTMAN

A bunch of dogs in Go,Dog.Go! do many things that people would do for fun.The dogs in Go,Dog.Go! do many things such as go to a roller coaster,go through a maze,work, play baseball, sit under and over a house, etc. The main idea of Go,Dog.Go! is when all the dogs go to a big tree for a party. At the party a lot of the dogs either eat cake or do crazy things such as jump rope or shoot dogs out of cannons.

My favorite part of the book was when it showed two dogs playing tennis on a blimp and showing the pilot yelling at the the dogs to get down from up there.

I would recommend this book to both boys and girls who are ages 2-10

This book is about a boy named Eric Banks. Eric loves dogs but, one day he woke up and he was a Norfolk Terrier! He and his friend Roy Ackerman try to find out why this had happened. But, it doesn't just happen once....

My favorite part was when Eric's dad was telling him that if he left the door open burglars could get in and Eric's little sister, Emily, said "a gorilla could get in!"

I'd recommend this book to people of ages 7 to 18 years old.

DEAR DUMB DIARY: IT'S NOT MY FAULT I KNOW EVERYTHING! by Jim Benton


  Jamie Kelly's dog had babies! Sadly her enemy, Angeline, well her dog is the mom. Throughout the book Jamie's best friend , Isabella is anxious to get a puppy! But as the book progresses Angeline tries to become more of  Jamie's friend., Jamie doesn't like it.

My favorite part of the book was when Jamie got hair done by Angeline!

I would recommend this book to girls the ages 8-10

THE BUTTERFLY LION By Michael Morpurgo


A boy was sent to school. there were terrible punishments so, he escaped . He meets a widow who was married to someone who won the Victor Cross. She told him a story he must not forget. A story about her dead husband, herself, and a white lion.You have to read the book to know the heart-warming story!

My favorite part is when the widow disappear and he promise to remember them.

I would recommend this book to both boys and girls that are 10 to 14

THE YEAR OF THE DOG by Grace Lin

Pacy Lin is the only Chinese girl in her class. Until Melody moves in and they become best friends.In the school year she gets $400  in a book contest! When Pacy tries out to be Dorthy in The Wizard of Oz, she instead tries out to be a munchkin. How embarrassing ! A Chinese munchkin? But the play turned out to be a success . But in the summer, when she went to Taiwanese camp  a mean girl called her "Twinke" , because she couldn't  speak Chinese or Taiwanese. Will the bullying ever stop? And will her summer ever get better?.

My favorite part was when Pacy won 4th place in the book contest and got $400.

I would recommend this book to girls who are ages 8-11

MISS SMALL IS OFF THE WALL by Dan Gutman

AJ and his friends are exited for their first fizz ed class. But when they walk in their teacher said "have fun with Miss Small, class." Once they look at Miss Small AJ thinks she is the tallest person he's ever met. She makes the class square dance and juggle feathers.  Where is the football, hockey, soccer, baseball, and volleyball?

I thought the funnest part was when AJ thought they were going to play doge ball so he put him self across from Andrea to whip her in the face, but instead the were going to be square dance partners. ;)

I would recommend this book to both boys and  girls ages 6-9

This story is about 2 kids that pull pranks and write comic book stories.

My favorite part was when they hypnotized the principal and made him bounce like a chicken!

I would recommend this book to boys ages 1-10 years old.

STAR WARS THE CLONE WORSE

This book is about Jedi's fighting other Jedi's.  Both Jedi's were from different Dimensions.  They did not get along so this book had a lot of  "wars" to protect their Dimensions.  

There were so much action in this book I really had a hard time picking a favorite part but I liked it when ....

Bone is about a little guy named Bone.Bone travels around. In the beginning of the book Bone ate with 3 butchers.
My favorite part is when Bone ate dinner with  the three butchers.

The book is about three friends.One of them gets kidnapped professor calculus and the other two go to find him tintin and captain haddock.But on the way mysterious things happen.Other people set traps for tintin and captain haddock.Will the two friends find calculus?Read the book to find out!

The funniest part is when the phone keeps on ringing and it kept annoying Nestor and he kept saying"Hello no madam I am not Mr.cutts the butcher and then they call in a thunder storm and captain haddock said the same thing except at the end he said and you no it is highly dangerous to be calling in a thunder storm and he gets hit by the thunder storm.

I would recommend this book.I think boys and girls who are 6-45 years old will enjoy this book.

This book is mostly about penguins talking to each other with puffles which is a round fluffy ball with eye's,mouth.I think this book is about hilarious, and when a green penguin did a contest with a yellow puffle of making the best city Then, the green penguin make a igloo thought it was perfect but when the penguin looked at the puffles he was amazed because the puffle made the best city of all.
My favorite part in the book was in the chapter puffles,Puffles,Puffles was when the blue puffle saw a hat and said ''It looks like a hat but he knows that its a hat.
I would recommend this book to boys and girls who are all ages.

WHEN MINDY SAVED HANUKKAH by Eric A. Kimmel

This is a story about Mindy. She is in the Klein family. They live in a crack under a wall (they are tiny) in a synagogue. It's almost Hanukkah and they still don't have candles! They've heard about the cat in the building. When Mindy goes to get the candles, will the cat attack? Find out when you read: "When Mindy saved Hanukkah"!

 The funniest part was when Zaydie showed up in a maccabee suit!

I would recommend this book to girls ages 3 to 7.

GOOSEBUMPS HOW I LEARNED TO FLY by R.L Stine

         In the book the characters are Jack Wilson and Mia who are kids and Morty who is a dog. The setting takes place at Jacks house and at the school. Jack ended up at a creepy haunted house trying to hide from Wilson. He ran all the way home but then realized he had taken a book from the haunted house. He opened it up to a page that said Flying Lessons. Jack made the recipe but in a blink of an eye Morty ate it and started to float. Jack had to go after him so then he ate the recipe. He floated in the air with Morty above him. will Jack ever get Morty?

     My favorite part in the book was when Morty ate the recipe and started to float so jack had to go after him and he ate the formula. They floated in the air and out the door.






     I would recommend this book for both boys and girls ages 6-60

        When a girl named Lisa's woolen stocking flies off the clothesline, Hedgie the porcupine finds it and pokes his head in. He tries to pull it out but the stocking got caught on one of Hedgie's prickles. All of the animals laughed at Hedgie especially when he said he was wearing a new hat. Lisa started chasing after Hedgie and caught him and pulled the stocking off of Hedgie's head. Will all of the other animals copy him and also wear clothing?


         My favorite part of the book was when Lisa chased after Hedgie and caught him and pulled the stocking right off of his head. 

   I would recommend this book for both boys and girls who are ages 6-95

This book is about a boy and girl named Peter and Thea. Thea finds a secret tunnel that leads to a different world, Peter's world. (Earth) There are secrets between Earth and Thea's world far, far, away, but no matter what, Peter and Thea try to find out. Will they succeed? Or will they not?

The scariest part was when Mattias,Thea's cousin, was frozen to the ice floor, and Mattias almost died.

I would recommend this book to both boys and girls who are ages 12+.

Amanda and Josh move to a old house on a shady street and Amanda thinks their new house is haunted but everyone else thinks she's just homesick. When they finally find some friends, they have a big secret, and so does the whole town. Will they figure it out?  And when they do, will it just kill them?

The grossest/scariest part was with Amanda, Josh their friend, Ray. Ray is with them in a graveyard and it seems like he's hiding something, and when Josh shines the flashlight on him, he is affected.  Is Ray okay?


I would recommend this book for both boys and girls from ages 8-11.

STORM RUNNERS by Roland Smith

Chase, Nicole, and Rawshawn are caught in a fearsome storm that is destroying homes and lives. They are caught in suspense in a race for life or death. They are trying to get to Nicole's barn for safe shelter. Along the way some of them get caught up or swept away from the group but they keep on going using teamwork to lead the way. Will they survive or not?

The scariest part was when Rawshawn had to jump in to the large crater with water because there was no other way  around. After she jumps in the giant crater she disappears for a few minutes. At a high swimming level Rawshawn makes it to the other side where Chase and Nicole are waiting screaming worried looking for Rawshawn.

I would recommend this book for both boys and girls at the ages 9-12. 

From a 1 to 5 star rating I would give it a ***.

TROUBLE MAKER by Andrew Clements

This book is about a boy named Clay who is a bad student in school, He is a trouble maker and is always in the principles office. Right now he is in the office because he drew his principle as a donkey.  But surprisingly the principle thought it was funny and bought the picture from Clay. Later that day Clay went home and found that his older brother Mitch was home from jail and doesn't want Clay to go to jail like Mitch so he turns clay into a whole knew person and clay is now a really good student. The day after that was Halloween and Mitch wouldn't let Clay go out trick-or-treating with his friends so clay sat in his room the whole entire night. but someone vandalized the principles house and it even had the donkey that clay drew on the front door but it wasn't Clay,  And the police went to there house later that day and said that Clay vandalized the principles house  but they have no proof that it wasn't them because he was in his room the whole night. Will Clay pay the punishment for someone else ,  or will he blame it one someone else.

My favorite part of this book was when Clay went to the principles for drawing a donkey as the principle and didn't get in trouble but he got money from the principle buying his picture.

I would recommend his book for girls and boys from ages 7-35 years old.

The book is about a girl named Emma. She meets a new girl named Kry and forgets about her old friend Annie. Annie is angry with Emma. Will Emma and Annie become friends again?

My favorite part of the book was when Emma was behind Annie's door leading to Annie's room and tried to apologize.

I would recommend this book for girls 8-10 years old.

This story is about a girl in a town called heaven she has to go through hard times in her family. Her best friend is a girl named shogy and they baby sit a baby named feather. They are also friends with feathers dad Bobby

The saddest part of the book is when character figures out her parents aren't her real parents.

I would recommend this book for both boys and girls with an age range of 10-16

Emma is a 8 year old girl  who has no siblings and who is only living with her mother. Suddenly that has changed. Emma's mom's friend is going away and her 4 year old son Anthony has to stay at Emma's house for a week in her room! Now Emma knows what it's like having a little brother.

My favorite part of the book was when Emma's best friend and Anthony where having a big fight.

I would recommend this book to girls who are ages 8-11

This book is about a people named Robert and Joe who tried to save people from a dangerous fire that were going to die. What will happen to Robert and Joe? Will they survive?

STRANGER IN THE WOODS By Carl R. Sams & Jean Stoik

This is a book about animals  in the woods and there is a stranger, but they don't know who it is.  The story takes place in the woods and they find the stranger in the middle of the woods and the animals talk to each other about it.

My favorite part was when the cardinal said "But I am...  I am.. RED!!!" not knowing what else to say.

I will recommend this book to kids that are ages 3-7 years old.

DIARY OF A DRUMMER BOY by Marlene Targ Brill

This is  a fictional story about a drummer boy who lead troops into battle during the Civil war.  It is based on a true life drummer boy.                                                                                                                                 The scariest part of the book was the first war and the details of the wounded soldiers.

THE BOY WHO LOVED WORDS Roni Schotter

 This amazing book is about a boy named Seilg who collects words. He loves them so much that this is his hobby is to collects them. And he wonders what his purpose is in the world? He thinks he is useless and leaves.

My favorite part is when the boy is wondering what his purpose is. Then he finds his purpose and makes me happy for him.

I would recommend this book to anybody who is 7 through 80 would like this book.

              Zenda and the gazing ball is about a girl named Zenda living on the planet called Azureblue and she is about to get her gazing ball.A gazing ball is a ball that tells your future and her magic power. Zenda wants to  take a peek at her gazing ball. That night she sneaked into the room where the gazing balls are,and when she picked up her gazing ball it smashed and broke. How will she get her gazing ball back?

My favorite part in the book Zenda and the gazing ball  is when Zenda broke her gazing ball.It got me kind of worried."What is she going to do?!"I asked myself.I was even more worried.

I would recommend this book for both boys and girls,but mostly girls,who are 3+.
