Faced with a dull summer in the city, Jane, Mark, Katherine, and Martha, suddenly find themselves involved in a series of extraordinary adventures after Jane finds an ordinary looking nickel that grants only half a wish.
My favorite part was when Martha made a wish that the family cat, Carrie, would talk but since the nickel grants only half a wish Carrie starts to mumble instead of talk.
I think both boys and girls who are 6-12 years old will enjoy this book.
