Its all about Black Beauty, a horse, being sold 5 or 6 times. After Black Beauty left his mother, he found two friends. His owner was sick so one of the friends got sold to a man. Black Beauty and his other friend got to still be together. A few days later it got sold again with out his friend and so the horse went along with his new master and said goodbye.
My favorite part was when Black Beauty and his friend were sold together.I would recommend this book to girls ages 8-15
