UNDERTOWN by James Pasco

This book is about a kid named Sama and his dad. Dad had to have a transplant and has only one month to live.Sama finds a strange figure and he tells  him the only way to cure him: the sugar stone.Sama then goes on a quest to get it.

I think the saddest part is when Sama's mother finds out that the dad has only one month to live.

I would recommend this book to boys ages 8-11
