CASSANDRA THE LUCKY by Joan Holub & Suzanne Williams

Cassandra the Lucky (Goddess Girls Series #12)

Cassandra is a fortune teller but because of a curse Apollo put on her, nobody believes her prophecies. To prove she's not a fake, she gives fortunes to her classmates. They come true, but thanks to the curse, her classmates all believe that the written fortune said the opposite and quickly, everyone believes her as a fake!

The main character Cassandra is in conflict with a curse put on her by Apollo.
Apollo put a curse on Cassandra at an early age. The curse was so that at first, everyone would believe her fortunes, but after it comes true, they believe that the fortune had read the opposite of what had happened.

In the beginning of the book, nobody believes her fortunes, only her brother's which are much more vague and are basically the same as hers. In the end Cassandra makes a shop called Opposite Oracle-O's in which the fortunes in the cookies are opposite of whats to happen, so it will work against Apollo's curse.

I can relate to how Cassandra feels when nobody believes her fortunes; when they only believe her brother's fortunes. Whenever I come up with an idea and say it out loud, no one seems to hear but one person. That one person who heard my idea then repeats it and everyone thinks it was their idea when it was actually mine.
