EMILY WINDSNAP AND THE SIRENS SECRET by Liz Kessler

Emily Windsnap is part human and part mermaid and her life is absolutely perfect, but that doesn't last long! Emily is now finding herself on a mission to bring to the two worlds together, humans and mer- people. With her friend Aaron by her side, they work together to come up with a plan to make that happen. That's not all, Emily's BFF, Shona is trapped with nasty sirens  who are stuck and can't gel out! Will Emily be able to
perform her task of bringing to two worlds together? Will Shona be stuck with the sirens forever? Find out!

Emily struggled with herself and another character
The struggle for Emily was no matter how hard she tried, Emily always blurted her thoughts out even when she wasn't suppose to. Emily also struggled with a character  named Mr. Beeston. She struggled with him by not knowing the truth from him and that he could easily fool someone with a lie.

Emily changed by not always jumping to conclusions. When Emily thought Mr. Beeston was the one who stole the shell to keep Shona and the sirens there in the cave. She learned that the shell was nothing and anyways Mr. Beeston was only stole it because he knew what it meant to do. Also in the newspaper Emily thought Mandy was the one who wanted the mermaids to be captive and that she was the one who posted the photo of her. But Emily learned that is wasn't Mandy, it was someone else in the town.

Emily reminded me of myself. I sometimes jump to conclusions. When I really think it's a certain person did something I sometimes end up blaming someone who had nothing to do with it like how Mandy had nothing to do with it.
