Jessie and Evan, (two siblings) are on there way to there grandmas house because she broke her arm in a fire at her house and is in the hospital. But besides that Jessie finds out that the new years eve bell is missing. And she teams up with this boy named Maxwell to find the bell.
The scariest part of the book is when Evan's grandma was getting ready to go on a walk and Evan was coming but couldn't find his boots, Then finally he found it but by the time he got out his grandma was gone.
I would recommend this book to both boys and girls who are ages 9-13
