SHADOW OF A BULL by Maia Wojciechowska

This book is about boy named Manolo whose father is the best bull fighter in the history of Arcangel, Spain. Manolo thinks he knows he's a coward and fears being taught by 6 men who want to bring back a legend.
My favorite part is when Manolo goes in the morning with his "best friend" Juan to the bull pasture and he practices playing with the calves.
I think boys ages 9-12 will enjoy this book...it is a long and detailed book about killing bulls.

HILL HAWK HATTIE by Clara Gillow Clark

This book is about a girl named Hattie who has dreamed of being a beautiful girl but when her father doesn't like it that way she changes into a boy. She goes on many, many adventures and becomes friends with another boy Jasper. My favorite part was when she starts work with the boys and she thinks the men will do there "business" in front of her. MR POPPERS PENGUINS by Richard and Florence Atwater

This book is is about a guy named Mr Popper who loves the the antarctic. One day he writes a letter to a polar explorer named Admiral Drake. Drake liked the letter so much that he sent him a penguin named Captain Cook. They go off on adventures. My favorite part was when Captain Cook gets into the house and eats the fish! It was funny. I think both boys and girls ages 5-100 will enjoy this book. RATING: ***** NN

THE NIGHT BEFORE HALLOWEEN by Natasha Wing

This book is about how the kids walked to houses saying trick or treat . It's a poem like "Twas the Night Before Christmas". My favorite part was when they ran away from the haunted house. This book is about a kid who is afraid of the new kid in school that everyone says is a bully. Then, at the end of the book, he crashes in to the bully! Will he get beat up?! My favorite part is when he crashes in to the bully and is scared of what will happen next.
I think both boys and girls ages 5- 11 will enjoy this book I give this book ***

My favorite part how they said how to hack into a computer.

This book is about guinea pigs, it is about what they need for cages, and what to eat and to stay away from. I would toally get this book!
My favorite part was when the author told you what a guinea pig can or can not eat.

The book is about a 10 year old boy named Skeeve who start out as the apprentice of master magician Garkin. But it all goes wrong when a assassin kills Garkin and the demon, Aahz he just summoned and was apprenticed by him . My favorite part was when instead of being evil, he is actually quite friendly. This is a book about a girl who lives with her mother in a boarding house. It is World War 2 and her father is away fighting. My favorite part is when the girl gets caught walking on the beach by who she thinks are Coast Guard patrollers. I think that girls 8-16 would like this book. DIARY OF A WIMPY KID By Jeff Kinney

This book is about a kid named Greg who carrys a diary around with him. He is also a nobody at school. He is always getting picked on and pulling pranks on teachers. Greg hates his brothers Rodrick and Manny.
My favorite part was when Greg and his friend Rowley make a haunted house. Their plan is wicked awesome but it turns out to be like a baby pen. Then it turned out to be Rowley and Greg screaming at the kids who come by to see the haunted house and they had a lake of blood which turned out to be a little slide with a kiddie pool at the bottom filled with ketchup.
I think kids 7 to 14 will enjoy this book.
Boy and girls will like this book.

This book is about a doll named Annebell who finds her missing aunt's diary. It is filled with facts about spiders. Annebell goes up to the attic to find her. Turns out she was looking for spiders and got stuck up there and couldn't get out. Annebell gets her un-stuck and gets her back to the doll house.
My favorite part of this book was when Annelbell went to her friend's house and her dad came with her. When they were looking around, the cat took the dad and hid him. You will have to read the book to see if he makes it!
I think girls ages 9 and 10 would like this book most.

SOUPY SATURDAYS WITH THE PAIN AND THE GREAT ONE by Judy Blume

This book is seven short stories about a girl and her sister. It is how they relate to each other when different things happen. Like in one story, they have to dog-sit their aunt's dog.
My favorite part was when the girl calls her brother a twig.
I think girls who are 6-10 years old will enjoy this book.

THE LAST DRAGON by Silvia DeMari

Part one is about a little elf who was lost in the rain when a woman and man found him. The elf saw part of a prophecy about the last elf and last dragon meeting to make it stop raining. So they set out to find the dragon. When they did, the elf stayed with the dragon and the man and woman went away. Part two is about the daughter of the man and woman, and how she and the elf met her at the orphanage. My favorite part is Robi's (the daughter of the man and woman) life at the "House of Orphans" and when Robi and the elf Yorsh escape from jail. I think both boys and girls of all ages will enjoy this book. RATING: **** NN

Its about a boy named Marty who finds a dog who has been poorly treated by Judd Travers. Marty tries to hide the dog from everyone and names it Shiloh. Will he do it? Read the book to find out! My favorite part is when Marty finds Shiloh.

THE WHITBY WITCHES by Robin Jarvis

This book is about two orphans. Their names are Jennet (the older sister) and Ben (the younger brother). They are on their way to an old family friends house named Alice Boston. Jennet tells Alice that Ben has these powers where he can see ghosts. Alice tells Jennet that she had those same powers when she was a little girl, but her mother didn't want her to use them. She soon lost those powers and has a meeting with all the ladies in town. They all help Alice get her powers back. Will Jennet get these powers too? Will Ben lose his powers like Alice? Read The Whitby Witches by Robin Jarvis to find out. The scariest part was when Ben sees all these ghosts in the hallway.

I think both girls and boys ages 9 and up will enjoy this book.

This is a book about a boy named Calvin and his tiger stuffed animal named Hobbes. They do wacky things like put ink in the bath tub while being in it. My favorite part was when Calvin was saying all the things about what the Snow Goons would do to them. Then Hobbes said "I vote we make tracks for Florida'' I think everyone would enjoy this book

This book is about a boy named, Jerry and his sister named, Rachel go and get a puppy. They name him Ginger and he is very happy to be with them. He steals the hearts of everyone he meets.........until someone steals him! My favorite part of the story was when they think that someone is following them. And someone was unfortunately following them.
I would recomend this book to boys and girls through ages 10-15.

This book is book is about a guy named Gregory. He's trying to struggle through a hazardous middle school with his "friend" Rowley. The middle school is full of smarties, bullies and teachers. The book was funny. But the funniest part was when Gregory said "Did you know that if your hand is bigger than your head it is a sign of low intelligence" Then Rowley puts his hand near his face and then Gregory says "really?!" and then Gregg smacks him! NORTH COUNTRY CHRISTMAS By: Shelley Gill

This book is about two children named Ellie and Sam. They were told to watch there Aunt Susan's dogs. Aunt Susan's friend Nick showed up and needed to borrow her dogs to go help the people with out food and shelter. They put fish and beans under the feet of the homeless people and then hung crystals on the trees and when the sun would rise, the crystals would shine in the sunlight. They made the people that had nothing, make them feel grateful. My favorite part of this book was when they hung crystals from the trees and made them sparkle in the sunlight. I think both girls and boys who are 4- 10 will enjoy this book.

This book is about many Egyptian inventions that we still use today. The story gives facts on how they used these inventions, and describes more about each of them. They invented pens, lighthouses, make up, and much more! This book would be great for reports and information. My favorite part of the book was when there was a translation in Arabic. It would have a commonly used word in English, then translated it in Arabic! I think girls and boys who are ages 6+ would enjoy this book. RATING: *** ~Flip-Flop

MR. HYNDE IS OUT OF HIS MIND! by Dan Gutman

This book is about a crazy school getting a crazy new music teacher replacing boring old Mr. Loring. he is a very unusual teacher. My favorite part of the book is when Andrea doesn't kiss AJ in the school play and then she starts to sing.
I think that both boys and girls ages 4-12 will like this book.

This book is about a scientist who studies things that you cannot see with a naked eye. He studies these things with microscopes. The scientist has figured out many things that we didn't know before. My favorite part in the book is when I learned about all the different types of plants and pollens that people are allergic to.
