Early Sunday Morning by Barry Denenberg
A girl who lives in Hawaii when they get bombed she hates all the conditions. She hopes to go home and tries to help her Japanese friend.
My favorite part was learning about the conditions after being bombed by Japan.
I think girls age 9-12 will enjoy this book.
