Hannah's Helping Hands by Jean Van Leeuwen
This book is about a girl named Hannah, whose brother is off fighting in the Revolutionary War. Then one day he comes to visit. Once he leaves, the British comes to Hannah’s town and Hannah’s father goes to the town center to help fight. When the little war in their town is over, Hannah sees that all the houses are one but she’s wondering if her father's ok. Is Hannah’s father all right?
I like the part when Hannah and her sister do their spring cleaning before Ben comes. I like how she and her sister Rebecca pick all the feathers off the geese and get all muddy chasing the geese.
I think girls who are age 8-11 will enjoy this book.
