Hatchet by Gary Paulsen

The book is about a boy whose parents are divorced and the boy is named Brian Robeson. While he is going to visiting his dad in Canada, the pilot who is flying the plane has a heart attack and dies. Unfortunately the plane crashes and Brian is in the wilderness by himself for 54 days. My favorite part is when the plane crashes till the end because Brian has to survive. I think both boys and girls ages 9-12 will enjoy this book. RATING: ***** NN
