Stormy, Misty's Foal by Marguerite Henry

The book is about a Assateague pony named Misty and the family that owns her, the Beebees, and what happens when Misty is about to foal but at the same time, a huge flood comes. My favorite part of the book was when Misty went into Grandma Beebee’s kitchen to take shelter from the flood while the Beebees evacuate to the mainland of Virginia, and when Grandpa Beebee and Paul Beebee come to check on Misty and instead of finding a foal, they find their cat has had kittens again. I think ngirls who are 9 or more will enjoy this book. RATING: ***** Dusty Costina
