The River by Gary Paulsen

A man named Derek comes by to Brian Robeson's house and asks him to go into the Canadian wilderness again so Derek can learn about survival. Brian says yes, but during the trip, Derek falls and goes into a coma. Brian could not radio his mom, so he found a trading post...but he has to go across a river to get there. Will he make it??? Read the book to find out! My favorite part was when Brian has to go across the river and survive. I love it when people have to survive!I think both boys and girls will enjoy this book.
