Ella Jane Fitzgerald
Ella Fitzgerald was musical, selfless,
never gave up, and was the queen of jazz.
Ella was the daughter of Tempie, William, and the daughter of jazz.
Although she was loyal to most she was most loyal to Chick Webb
who taught her music including scat and bebop, both types of jazz.
She best loved people, music, and her own way of singing.
She felt enthusiastic, different, and could stretch
her music to the end of the world.
Ella was the student if jazz, of bebop and scat.
Ella's legacy is that she one 14 Grammy awards, Kennedy
center honors, the nations highest award for artistic
excellence, and an honorary award doctorate degree.
Ella gave music a popular place in the top hits back then.
Her audiences grew and grew throughout the more
performances she had.
Ella, from Newport News, Virginia; reform school
for running errands for illegal gambling joints, on the
streets, Beverly Hills, and Harlem NY.
Ella was again and for all enthusiastic, brave, and the woman of jazz
